Description

The responsibilities for the Manufacturing Process Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Research, design, and develop manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods, and equipment.
  • Create and maintain detailed part and product revision drawings for each customer.
  • Design, test, source, and cost-justify tools, machinery, and equipment for optimal manufacturing methods.
  • Analyze products and processes to identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality enhancement, and efficiency gains.
  • Serve as the manufacturing representative on cross-functional teams.
  • Support project timelines by working extended hours as needed.
  • Contribute to team success by delivering on related tasks and initiatives.
  • Ensure a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate item master data in ERP systems to support engineering and production needs.
  • Develop, update, and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) to reflect current designs and manufacturing standards.
  • Create and maintain routing information, including labor steps and work centers, for effective production planning.
  • Collaborate with planning, procurement, and operations teams to ensure ERP data supports material planning and inventory accuracy.

Profile

The successful Manufacturing Process Engineer should have the following qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in the Industrial Manufacturing space
  • Proficient with SolidWorks
  • Proficient with ERP systems
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and tools is preferred.
  • Proven ability to set objectives and follow through on plans.
  • Proficient in reading technical documents and blueprints.
  • Hands-on experience with small tools and measurement devices (30-60% of the time).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing tooling and equipment.
  • Skilled in visual and tactile inspection for quality and safety.
  • Strong communication skills and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
