Job Summary:
Quick Quack Car Wash is looking for a self-motivated individual to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This role involves inspecting, and performing checks on incoming materials, parts and assemblies at various stages of the manufacturing process to ensure quality standards are consistently met throughout the value stream.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Perform inspections on purchased parts, in-process assemblies and finished goods inventory in accordance with the standard operating procedures
Use of visual measurements tools, mechanical tools and physical testing is required
Identify and reject non-conformance material(s) per the quality standards
Accurately document inspection results via set measures and processes
Retain all controlled documents as documented in the standard operating procedures
Read and comprehend manufacturing process instructions, rework instructions, follow check lists, engineering and vendor documentation (e.g. BOM, ECO, MCO, deviations, assembly drawings, specification, quality alerts and other documents
Participate in the creation and/or revision of inspection processes, checklists standard operating procedures and job aids.
Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action(s) to cross functional stakeholders and team members
Work with the assembly and fabrication Production teams to drive Quality and provide feedback & Quality support
Support other areas within operations as needed
Knowledge and experience of generating first article inspection reports (FAIR) and standard inspection practices through accepted quality lots (AQL) sampling plans
Must be able to compare parts to blueprint drawings, diagrams and other checks to make sure parts are within spec
Experience dealing with non-conforming material including NCR, MRB and knowledge of 8D processes (or similar) is required
Strong communication and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook). Ability to read and understand manuals, paperwork, and procedures
Must be a self-starter, detail-oriented and able to work independently
An experienced problem solver including familiarity with problem solving tools such as 5-whys or Ishikawa diagrams
Experience in the following is highly desirable: ISO 9001 (QMS), & Document Management systems
Lean Continuous Improvement – Six Sigma Green Belt certification
Manufacturing Engineering – Production Support and work instruction generation
Work Environment And Physical Demands
The person will be in constant motion and will have physical activities, such as lifting (0-50 lbs.), bending, reaching, and stooping
Required Experience
Must have >2 years in a manufacturing environment
Required Education Level
Associates degree or at least two years completed towards BS degree in Engineering or other technical discipline

- If you are tasked to drive as a part of this role, then it is required that you have a clean driving record and a current Driver's License that is not suspended or expired.
