Job Summary:

The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of company objectives and projects while ensuring alignment with strategic goals. This role will provide executive-level reporting.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of objectives and projects, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee individual projects to ensure they meet technical, cost, and schedule objectives while effectively managing resources.
  • Conduct risk management and follow project management policies to create required artifacts and ensure top-quality results for successful project completion.
  • Conduct thorough business analysis and ensure that project requirements are clearly defined and documented.
  • Use project management tools, such as Confluence, Jira and Smartsheet to manage delivery and reporting.
  • Prepare and present executive-level reports on portfolio performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, technical staff and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to think strategically and align projects with the company's long-term goals. This involves understanding the broader business context and making decisions that support the company's mission and vision.
  • Identify challenges and develop innovative solutions to overcome obstacles in project execution.
  • Help stakeholders assess project performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize portfolio management.
  • Prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong business analysis skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable project plans.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.

Qualifications, Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ Proven experience as a Portfolio Manager or in a similar role, preferably within IT or cyber security industry.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Program Management Professional (PgMP), or Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP)certification
  • Agile project management experience and a solid understanding of cyber security principles and technologies, preferred.
  • Comprehensive experience and knowledge of project management tools such as Jira and Confluence and Smartsheet
  • Strong business analysis skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable project plans.
