We are seeking a creative and skilled Video Editor with experience in editing video content using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about storytelling through visual media. While the core focus is on video editing, experience in photo editing, video shooting, scriptwriting for commercials or video projects, and social media content creation is a plus. This role supports the marketing team in producing engaging content that aligns with the dealership’s brand and promotional efforts.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Video Content Production

  •      Shoot and edit promotional videos, vehicle walkarounds, event recaps, customer testimonials, and internal videos.
  •      Add music, motion graphics, captions, voiceovers, and visual effects to enhance video content.
  •      Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop compelling visual stories.
  •      Ensure video content is optimized for platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
  •      Maintain a well-organized archive of video assets and project files.
  •      Travel between dealership locations as needed for shoots and content collection.


Podcast Production

  •      Develop and produce dealership-branded podcast content, including concept planning, episode scripting, and guest coordination.
  •      Record, edit, and mix audio for podcast episodes, ensuring high production quality and brand consistency.
  •      Manage podcast publishing and scheduling on platforms like Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube.
  •      Add intro/outro music, transitions, and any required sound design elements.
  •      Work with internal teams to source topics, stories, and interview subjects relevant to automotive news, dealership culture, and customer interests.
  •      Track podcast performance and engagement metrics; propose improvements based on audience feedback.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  •      2-3+ years of experience in video editing and audio production.
  •      Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, or equivalent software.
  •      Familiarity with podcast editing tools (e.g., Audacity, GarageBand, Descript, or Logic Pro).
  •      Strong understanding of audio leveling, noise reduction, and sound clarity.
  •      Experience operating cameras, microphones, lighting, and recording equipment.
  •      Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and manage a content calendar.
  •      Excellent storytelling and communication skills.
  •      Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to travel locally.


Preferred Skills/Abilities:

  •      Experience producing branded or commercial podcasts.
  •      Automotive industry knowledge is a plus.
  •      Photography, motion graphics, or animation skills.
  •      Social media content creation or YouTube channel management experience.


Education and Experience:

      Minimum Education:

  •      Associate degree in one of the following fields: Video Production, Digital Media, Communications, Film/Media Studies, Graphic Design, Audio Engineering, Marketing (with media production focus).


Preferred Education:

  •      Bachelors degree in Media Production, Film/TV Production, Multimedia Arts, Journalism or Communications, Marketing with digital/media emphasis


Alternative Qualifications:

  •      Candidates may be considered if they have:


o     A strong professional portfolio (videos, podcasts, content reels)

o     3+ years of hands on experience in video editing, audio production, or content creation

o     Certifications in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Audition)

Physical Requirements:

  •      Ability to lift and carry equipment (e.g., cameras, tripods, lights, microphones) up to 30 lbs
  •      Frequent standing and walking, especially during video shoots and event coverage
  •      Occasional bending, crouching, or climbing (e.g., to position equipment or capture specific angles)
  •      Manual dexterity to operate cameras, computers, and audio/video editing equipment
  •      Ability to sit for extended periods during editing sessions at a computer workstation
  •      Clear vision and hearing required for editing tasks involving video quality, sound clarity, and color correction
  •      Comfort with driving to and between dealership locations (valid driver's license and clean driving record required)
