Join Our Team as a Digital ABG Digicon Operator!

Are you mechanically inclined with an eye for detail? Do you thrive in a fast-paced production environment? We are looking for a Digital ABG Digicon Operator to support the operation of our high-quality label printing press. In this hands-on role, you’ll oversee machine operation, material handling, and routine maintenance, helping to keep production running smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate the ABG Digicon machine to perform finishing processes such as laminating, foiling, varnishing, die-cutting, and embossing on printed labels.
  • Utilize the ERP system to track production.
  • Conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure labels meet customer specifications and company standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues, material jams, or inconsistencies in label production.
  • Collaborate with prepress, HP operators, quality teams, and production teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and adjustments during the process.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical certification in printing technology or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably within the printing or packaging industry.

  • Mechanical Aptitude - Understand and assist with press operation and maintenance.
  • Attention to Detail - Strong quality control focus to ensure top-tier printed materials.
  • Problem-Solving - Assist in troubleshooting press and production issues.
  • Organizational Skills - Maintain a clean, efficient, and safe workspace.
  • Time Management - Handle multiple tasks efficiently under production deadlines.
  • Teamwork - Work collaboratively with production staff.
  • Communication Skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to stand for extended periods (up to 100% of the shift) and walk, lift up to 40 lbs., or carry as needed throughout production. Additionally, candidates must have the ability to distinguish and differentiate between colors to ensure accurate printing of labels.
