What You Will Do
As a Global Freight Audit & Pay Analyst (Remote), you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate, on-time freight payments across Stryker’s global carrier network. Using a third-party audit platform, you'll validate carrier invoices, resolve discrepancies, recover invalid charges, and uphold compliance with contracted terms. You’ll collaborate closely with carriers and cross-functional teams—logistics, finance, procurement, and more—to drive payment accuracy, streamline processes, and support continuous improvement in freight operations. The employee can work 100% virtually in the US without any set territory or proximity required.

- Serve as a key liaison between Stryker’s procurement team, contracted carriers, and Freight Audit & Pay (FA&P) provider to implement and update contracted rate structures.
- Lead carrier onboarding to the FA&P platform, ensuring seamless integration and adoption of freight payment processes.
- Monitor and analyze freight audit dashboards and reports, identifying and resolving invoices that fall outside automated audit parameters.
- Investigate and reconcile rating and billing discrepancies, driving resolution across carriers, procurement, and logistics stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to carrier payment terms, proactively addressing short-pays, discrepancies, and aging invoices to maintain financial compliance.
- Root-cause audit exceptions by collaborating with logistics, procurement, finance and carriers by ensuring timely and accurate resolution of invoice failures.
- Manage freight bill exception handling, coordinating directly with carriers to correct and resubmit erroneous invoices.
- Recommend and implement logic improvements to reduce audit exceptions, engaging both carriers and FA&P providers to drive process enhancements.
- Leverage FA&P reporting tools to deliver enriched, actionable freight pay data in response to scheduled and ad-hoc internal stakeholder requests.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- Experience working with account payable, freight audit and pay or process invoice payments process
- Proficiency in Excel
- Understanding of operational systems including ERPs, OMS, WMS, TMS
