Job Title: Travel Correctional Nurse - 13-Week Contract

Location: Whiteville TN

Shifts: 12-Hour Shifts

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Pay: $35-$38 per hour for LPN If RN it does pay more (weekly pay)

Setting: Correctional Facilities

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Travel Correctional Nurse for a 13-week contract position in a correctional facility. As a Travel RN/LPN, you will provide essential nursing care to inmates in a secure, challenging environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for nurses who are looking for a new adventure while utilizing their clinical skills to serve a unique patient population.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to inmates in a correctional facility setting
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical provider
• Monitor and assess inmate health conditions, documenting any changes
• Respond to medical emergencies and assist with urgent care needs
• Perform routine health screenings and exams
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Ensure that medical supplies and equipment are properly maintained
• Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and security protocols
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Active and valid RN/LPN license
• Minimum of [X] years of nursing experience, with at least [X] years in a correctional or similar setting
• Ability to work independently and in a high-pressure environment
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Current BLS certification (required)
