Description

SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing Westone’s supply chain operations in alignment with organizational objectives. This role encompasses procurement of raw materials and retail supplies, supplier relationship management, inventory management, and continuous process improvement in collaboration with Westone’s Operations, Logistics, and Commercial teams.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute Westone-specific supply chain strategies and initiatives.
  • Promote a safety-first culture by following all safety policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve margins, and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Work closely with the Warehouse and Safety Manager to reduce back orders and ensure uninterrupted production support.
  • Establish and maintain supplier relationships, including contracts, performance evaluation, and issue resolution.
  • Oversee freight and shipping categories in coordination with Finance and Operations.
  • Alert management to any supply-related issues that could impact production or customer satisfaction.
  • Foster collaboration between purchasing and internal departments to meet supply chain goals.
  • Oversee daily purchasing activities and ensure adherence to outsourcing and procurement policies.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for purchasing staff and lead regular performance reviews.
  • Provide coaching and manage team performance, training, time-off requests, and documentation of performance-related matters.
  • Stay informed on supply chain trends, technologies, and best practices relevant to Westone’s operations.
  • Work with the Returns Department to address and reconcile Non-Conforming Material Requests (NCMRs).
  • Prepare and deliver accurate, timely supply chain reports as directed.
  • Leverage ERP systems to manage purchase data and make informed decisions.
  • Continuously evaluate suppliers for improvements in cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Lead cost negotiation and quote processes to improve material costs and availability.
  • Support special projects and company-wide improvement initiatives as needed.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a purchasing/supply chain role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with light manufacturing or production processes is a plus.
  • APICS certification preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word).
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with attention to detail.
  • High level of integrity with financial data and vendor management.
  • Ability to calculate and analyze cost, pricing, and inventory metrics, including foreign currency conversion.
  • Occasional travel as needed.
