We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst I to join our growing organization!

Qualifications

General Position Summary

The Business Intelligence Analyst I is responsible for compiling, analyzing, and presenting warranty and quality related data. Creating dashboards and reports necessary to successfully drive cost reduction, cost avoidance, and quality of data initiatives. They are responsible for reporting on trends in warranty spend and product field reliability performance. The Business Intelligence Analyst I has limited decision-making authority and works independently under general supervision.

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities

  • Regularly reports on quality and warranty key performance indicators identifying positive and negative variances from plan.
  • Creates ad hoc analyses as required to evaluate specific issues/opportunities and concerning trends in warranty expense or field issue rates.
  • Practices continuous improvement well beyond the initial data analytics and into investigation, root cause, and improvement phases to report on issue and resolution of anomalous or otherwise concerning warranty or quality trends.
  • Assists in system development projects to optimize reporting and streamline warranty and quality system logic.
  • Assists management in creating a plan for over the air data transmission, storage, and reporting.
  • Works closely with IT on programming requests pertaining to complex report writing and system enhancements to optimize reporting and streamline warranty accounting practices.

Specific Job Requirements

  • Demonstrates ability to query, evaluate, and merge complex data sets from multiple systems into comprehensive reports that clearly identify variances and trends.
  • Demonstrates exceptional time management skills, the ability to multi-task, and the ability to adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates ability to collaborate well with others and manage initiatives cross-functionally throughout a business.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, troubleshooting, interpersonal and organizational skills are required.
  • Excellent ability to turn analysis and investigation conclusions into intuitive and succinct business presentations. Will be called upon to present findings and projects to upper management.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% between corporate headquarters and satellite offices to work in-person with cross-functional teams.

Education And Experience Requirements

  • B.A. in a related business field strongly preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a business data analyst, corporate financial planning or customer service analyst position.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems preferred. Oracle experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems preferred. Salesforce.com preferred.
  • Experience with BI reporting tools such as Power BI or MS SQL required.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office software set (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, MS PowerPoint), specifically advanced MS Excel skills required.
  • Business Intelligence Analyst background preferred.
  • Technical Service background is a plus.
