Empire Property Management Group is looking for a Bookkeeper to join our team. Empire Property Management Group is a locally owned and operated company located in the Lehigh Valley. Our core business is the rehabilitation of investment properties, both residential and commercial.
This is a fully in-person role.
Job Details
The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with internal accounting procedures. This role plays a critical part in the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a regular basis
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Process payroll and coordinate with 3rd party payroll providers
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as needed
- Support the preparation of tax documents and work with outside accountants or auditors
- Prepare and present weekly cash flow reports to leadership, highlighting trends, concerns, and projections
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and relevant regulations
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
Qualifications:
- Proven bookkeeping experience or relevant accounting background
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting practices
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
