Position Overview

The Director of Operations at Maxmed Healthcare, Inc.—a federal healthcare contractor supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) and commercial clients—is responsible for the full life-cycle management of all contracts, ensuring strict compliance, security, and effective personnel and resource management. This leader will serve as a key liaison between internal teams, government agencies, and commercial partners, driving operational excellence and contract performance across all company activities.

  • Contract Lifecycle Management
    • Serve as corporate representative to DoD medical and social services contract stakeholders
    • Oversee all phases of contract management from award to closeout, ensuring compliance with DoD, federal, and commercial requirements.
    • Manage contract deliverables to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
    • Maintain communication with customer/client representatives regarding contract requirements and performance.
    • Set up and maintain electronic customer files, including proposals, contracts, modifications, performance work statements, renewals, correspondence, deliverables, and payment schedules.
  • Credentialing and Compliance
    • Direct the credentialing lifecycle for government, DoD, and commercial contracts.
    • Evaluate and verify healthcare professionals’ credentials, licenses, certifications, and qualifications to ensure adherence to regulatory, organizational, and DoD standards.
    • Conduct thorough background checks and maintain comprehensive credentialing records.
    • Participate in developing and refining internal credentialing processes and onboarding for new medical staff.
  • Human Resources & Personnel Management
    • Lead and supervise the HR department, overseeing general HR tasks such as credential renewals, updated forms, staff retention, and employee emergencies, in coordination with the COR/KO and payroll departments.
    • Provide HR support, employee management, and resolution of employee and contract-related issues.
    • Deliver orientation, on-the-job training, and guidance to new and replacement staff.
    • Assign personnel and resources to contracts and projects as required.
  • Operational Leadership & Resource Management
    • Collaborate with contract teams and interface directly with internal and external customers and leadership to ensure compliance with business, legal, security, and audit requirements.
    • Provide coordination support for Joint Venture efforts and Teaming Partners.
    • Conduct quality control activities, develop action plans, and ensure adherence to contract requirements and company policies.
    • Maintain and optimize company databases, CRM, and software platforms.
  • Business Development & Proposal Management
    • Review and respond to solicitations, TOPRs, RFPs, RFQs, and Sources Sought through platforms such as SAM.gov, GSA e-Buy, DHA Symphony, Bidspeed, and GovWin.
    • Support business development activities, including proposal preparation, opportunity identification, and partnership coordination.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Management or Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with 5 years of experience in Contract Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in business operations, healthcare management/administration, and government contracting—preferably with DoD or federal healthcare contracts.
  • Proven expertise in contract management, credentialing, HR administration, and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of federal employment laws (FLSA, ADA, EEO, SCA) and federal contract regulations (FAR, DFARS, GAO).
  • Familiarity with JCAHO and DoD Inspector General requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple contracts, projects, and teams across diverse locations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, Deltek, ADP Payroll, and relevant HR/contract management software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience as a Program Manager or Director of Operations in a federal contracting environment.
  • Experience with healthcare staffing, credentialing, and compliance for government contracts.
  • Direct interface with government contracting officers, CORs, and project managers.
  • Demonstrated success in quality assurance, project forecasting, and personnel management.
