What You Will Be Doing
Lead the development and submission of compelling charter school applications that secure regulatory approval for our innovative 2 Hour Learning schools, ensuring each proposal effectively communicates our unique educational model while meeting all compliance requirements.

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly. What You Will Be Doing
- Spearhead the development of comprehensive charter applications, ensuring alignment with diverse state and district requirements
- Engage directly with district and state officials to build relationships and ensure mutual understanding of expectations
- Drive continuous improvement through strategic incorporation of stakeholder feedback and expert insights
- Partner with our Director of Charter Growth to establish and execute critical timelines and deliverables
- Take ownership of identifying and addressing potential gaps in documentation, proactively solving problems before they arise
- Copy-pasting from old applications or working from rigid templates
- Sitting idle waiting for someone to tell you what needs to be done
- Getting caught in the slow-moving gears of traditional educational bureaucracy
- Creating proposals for conventional school models that maintain the status quo
- Diluting your impact with unfocused policy work or general grant writing tasks

Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (field of study open)
- Proven track record managing extensive written projects (100+ pages) with multiple deadlines and moving parts
- Excellence in both academic and narrative writing, with meticulous attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a remote environment with autonomous work style
- Current U.S. residency required
- Graduate degree in education, public policy, or aligned field
- Professional experience in charter school development, education advocacy, or grant writing
- Working knowledge of education policy landscape in our target states (PA, GA, MI, NC, or FL)
