Job Summary: Backyard Products is looking for a Graphic Designer to join our in-house Brand Creative Team, based out of our headquarters located in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor, MI. Our Brand Creative Team is thoughtful, collaborative, and works cross-functionally to execute creative work for our brands that we sell through big box stores, eCommerce and our own DTC websites.
The Graphic Designer should have digital eCommerce and DTC experience with a track record of adhering to brand guidelines. We are interested in a candidate with specific experience with website UX/UI, PDP, digital ad design, and email. This digital thinker and doer will work closely with internal and external teams to ensure best-in-class branding, messaging, and performance across all marketing channels.

Key Responsibilities: (Other duties as assigned)
- Develop brand assets to reinforce and support individual brands in our portfolio, including websites, digital marketing assets, eCommerce & DTC PDP, social media assets, still graphics for video, etc.
- Design direct-to-consumer website UX, UI, and page layouts; work with Creative Director to ideate and implement best-in-class, website designs with high rates of conversion.
- Create original identity branding: identity/logo concepts and companion graphic elements
- Work within retailers’ internal product page design systems to create best-in-class product pages on retailers’ websites. Image Gallery graphics and Enhanced Content.
- Create mood boards for 3D render creation, photo and video shoots
- Collaborate with other Designers, Copywriters, and Creative Director to create work that is best in class
- Participate in group brainstorms, to ideate new solutions to business/creative challenges
- Participate in creative reviews, both giving and receiving critique
- HS Diploma/GED
- Minimum of 2 years of design experience
- Portfolio that demonstrates proven expertise and high-quality execution. Applications received without portfolio will not be considered
- Adobe Creative Suite experience (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
- Skilled in the use of FIGMA
- eCommerce or DTC website experience a huge plus
- Knowledge of website UX/UI. Experience with DTC web design
- Agency experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience
