Job Purpose/Summary
Responsible for Community Development program design, coordination, implementation and influence with local, regional and state leaders that will better prepare Entergy communities and regions for economic growth

Minimum Requirements Minimum education required of the position Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
Minimum experience required of the position 2-4 years
Preferred: Certified Economic and Community Developer (CEcD) preferred 5+ years of economic development experience, with a preference for some local economic development experience
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work within a team environment. Strong project management, analytical and problem solving skills. Good working knowledge of PC operations and software
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required of the position Professional Community and Economic Developer certifications preferred

Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Improve Entergy-served communities by participating and improving community readiness programs such as: site qualification and certification, economic development funding at the local level, strategic planning assistance, and hiring economic development professionals.
- Promote excellence in economic development by providing consultation and resources that will influence economic development organizations to pursue best practices (i.e. training programs, marketing strategies, site development, familiarization tours).
- Promotes Entergy's business and economic development services to local and regional leaders; may also support efforts to locate new customers.
- Meets with the Dir, Business and Economic Development and various other department personnel to provide program updates and request resources.
- Design and implement strategic initiatives that empower local governments to enhance their city's appeal to businesses and residents.
- Drive sustainable growth through tailored economic development plans and public-private collaboration.
- Act as a trusted advisor to local officials, translating economic trends into actionable strategies that elevate community assets, attract investment, and position the city as a thriving destination for talent and innovation.
- Develop comprehensive community development strategy.
