Summary:

This position provides business process analysis services to guarantee timely, efficient, and accurate deployment of computing and/or Telecommunications services to the Enterprise Network. The position accomplishes the above through a combination of analysis of business needs, project planning, process documentation, and coordination of the deploying IT Technologies consistent with Baystate Health System's policies and procedures and within the framework of the IT department Client Service Management philosophy.
The IT Business Analyst is an individual contributor who applies an in-depth knowledge of technical concepts, practices, and procedures to BH. The incumbent typically works under the supervision of the manager, project manager, team leader, or Sr. Business Analyst or may work independently. The incumbent will work under demanding deadlines to resolve complex configuration problems. Errors will likely cause visible delay, expense and/or disruption to the end-user. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The incumbent works on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations.

Job Responsibilities:

1) Provide to BH employees/affiliates business analysis and direction with respect to maximizing IT Technology that will enhance productivity and increase efficiency in the BH client community.

2) Coordinate the standardization of all IT Technologies in conjunction with other IT teams

3) Recognize potential issues and resolve them before they have an impact or have a solution to present to senior management

4) Participate as a member of large project teams providing business and site analysis, documentation, and coordination of IT Hardware, Software, and/or Telecommunications Technologies

5) Develop necessary technical and process documentation to ensure the technician has the proper documentation to complete their work

6) Serve as project coordinator on all projects that use IT as a resource. Including equipment selection, ordering, communicating, and deploying any IT Technologies

7) Coordinate day-to-day work, Workflow queue management, Administrative responsibilities, and communications with others to improve services along any task or project

8) Be willing to work the extra hours to support other IT teams and BH staff to accomplish our mission of patient care.

9) Needs to be mindful of BH Department workflows and the importance of their software needs so patient care and administrative workflows are not interrupted.
