Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be positive, helpful, friendly, supportive, sincere, and genuine to all patients, physicians, and staff.
- Be attentive and responsive to doctors’ and/or practice administrator/team leader requests in a timely
- Be punctual and regular in attendance.
- Follow all office policies and procedures.
- Make decisions that reflect the best interests of Heart One Associates and providing quality patient
- Maintain patient confidentiality as governed by the Health Information Portability and Accountability
- Monitor the flow of patients and waiting times, informing patients of delays or emergencies that my
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in appointment scheduling.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in charts for all correspondence involving patient care.
- Check-in patients, obtaining personal medical and financial information, informing back office of
- Collect co-pays at check-in, processing credit card payments and processing batch detail and
- Check out patients, obtaining payment and scheduling new appointments as indicated by the
- Input all patient data and keep up to date information on all patients.
- Reschedule physician schedules as requested by practice manager/team leader.
- Review schedules daily for corrections or gaps and ensure changes are made.
- Check messages regularly throughout the day. Messages should be accurate and thorough for
- Orders should be worked daily, both past due and future.
- Inform team leader of needed office supplies.
- Keep workstation and waiting room organized and clean. I.E., magazines, windows, desktops.
- Decorate waiting rooms for appropriate holidays.
- Travel to various Practice locations as needed for coverage.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- Minimum 2- years medical practice experience preferred
- Cardiology experience preferred
- Working knowledge with computers
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA rules & regulations.
- Knowledge of diagnostic testing and procedures, preferred.
- Excellent verbal and writing communication skills.
- Knowledge of basic mathematics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Internet.
