The Sonoma County Office of Education is seeking a dynamic and equity-driven Director to lead the 21st Century California School Leadership Academy (21CSLA) for the North Coast/North Bay Regional Academy (Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Napa, and Sonoma). This role is responsible for advancing leadership development for school and district leaders across the region through high-quality, job-embedded professional learning with a focus on equity and continuous improvement. The Director will oversee the implementation of coaching, communities of practice, and learning experiences that center the needs of leaders serving historically marginalized students. This is an opportunity to shape educational leadership and support systemic change in partnership with counties and districts across the region. Experience as a site principal and in district-level administration is highly desired, as this role requires a deep understanding of the complexities of school and district leadership. Candidates with this background will bring valuable insight to the design and delivery of professional learning that is relevant, practical, and responsive to the needs of educational leaders across diverse setting.

Education: -Master’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education is required. Experience: -In management positions with progressively increasing responsibility and professional experience in the field of education. -In staff development and/or in-service training experience. -In supervision of district site or county office program operations and activities, including the supervision of certificated and classified staff. This must include serving in an administrative position with primary responsibility of a school site or program specifically designed to serve students. Credentials: -A valid California Administrative Services Credential is required. -Must be fingerprinted and a satisfactory Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation records checks must be received by the Sonoma County Office of Education, prior to employment. -Proof of TB test will be required upon employment.
