The Grants & Government Affairs Coordinator is responsible for researching, developing and tracking grant applications and reports in coordination with the Grants & Government Affairs Manager. This role will also assist with research and development of documents related to government affairs. This role will utilize their expertise in written and oral communications, research, and problem-solving skills to support the strategic goals of Mosaic.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and research private and public grant opportunities that align with the mission and strategic direction of Mosaic Community Health; independently assess and make recommendations to leadership regarding pursuit.
  • Manage the preparation of funding proposals and collaborate across Mosaic teams (i.e., administrative, data, operations, finance, etc.) and community partners to gather relevant inputs (i.e., narrative, budget, letters of support, etc.) and necessary data for each proposal.
  • Build and maintain relationships with private and public funders.
  • Partner with the manager to assemble all relevant components of proposals and ensure that Mosaic Community Health funding proposals comply with all submission timelines and requirements for each funder.
  • Lead grant activities for secured grants in partnership with project owner and the Finance Team including documenting and communicating reporting requirements, tracking correspondence with funders, producing grant progress reports, and being responsible for all other appropriate funder reporting requirements and action items.
  • Collaborate as a member of the Mosaic Communications and Development team to ensure the success of Mosaic’s wider fundraising activities and general organizational communications.
  • Ensure all work involving protected health information (PHI) is conducted in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) regulations.

Work Experience: Basic understanding of grant applications and reporting, and research and document development skills are required. Previous work experience in a healthcare or nonprofit setting is preferable.

Education, certification and licensure: High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Oregon Driver’s License required.
