Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Custom Cabinetry Designer/Project Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for translating client selections and design concepts into detailed CAD drawings. This dual role requires a blend of creative design skills and strong project management abilities. As a designer/project manager, you will be managing the entire cabinetry project lifecycle from post-sales client agreements to completion and client sign-off. This role demands excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating beautiful and functional spaces.

Responsibilities

• Design:
• Meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and vision.
• Develop creative, detailed and functional design specifications for custom cabinetry projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design intent and client selections.
• Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Chief Architect) to create precise 3D models
• Create detailed drawings, specifications, and renderings for client presentations.
• Select appropriate materials, finishes, hardware, and accessories.
• Collaborate with our engineers, architects, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of cabinetry into the overall project.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and design innovations.
• Project Management:
• Oversee all aspects of assigned projects, from post-sales design to final installation.
• Develop and maintain project timelines, including design, production, delivery, and installation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and installation teams.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and invoices.
• Conduct site visits to measure spaces, assess conditions, and monitor progress.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, meeting our quality standards.
• Communication and Collaboration:
• Act as the primary point of contact for the client throughout the project lifecycle.
• Effectively communicate project status, timelines, and any potential issues to the Senior Designer and other relevant stakeholders.
• Address any client concerns or issues promptly and professionally throughout.
• Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed of project status.
• Ensure client satisfaction upon project completion.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a custom cabinetry designer and project manager (ideally 5-10 years of experience) in high-end residential construction.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Chief Architect or similar), 3D experience is essential.
• Strong understanding of European style cabinetry construction, materials, and installation techniques.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Exceptional organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Preferred: Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
