Responsibilities
- Design:
- Meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and vision.
- Develop creative, detailed and functional design specifications for custom cabinetry projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design intent and client selections.
- Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Chief Architect) to create precise 3D models
- Create detailed drawings, specifications, and renderings for client presentations.
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, hardware, and accessories.
- Collaborate with our engineers, architects, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of cabinetry into the overall project.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and design innovations.
- Project Management:
- Oversee all aspects of assigned projects, from post-sales design to final installation.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, including design, production, delivery, and installation.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and installation teams.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and invoices.
- Conduct site visits to measure spaces, assess conditions, and monitor progress.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, meeting our quality standards.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Act as the primary point of contact for the client throughout the project lifecycle.
- Effectively communicate project status, timelines, and any potential issues to the Senior Designer and other relevant stakeholders.
- Address any client concerns or issues promptly and professionally throughout.
- Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed of project status.
- Ensure client satisfaction upon project completion.
- Proven experience as a custom cabinetry designer and project manager (ideally 5-10 years of experience) in high-end residential construction.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Chief Architect or similar), 3D experience is essential.
- Strong understanding of European style cabinetry construction, materials, and installation techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Exceptional organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Preferred: Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
