The Large Group Marketing Specialist plays a critical role in supporting brokers and driving new business and renewal opportunities within the Large Group/Mid-Market employee segment. This role is responsible for coordinating with brokers and carrier partners, strategizing with sales, managing the quoting process, and delivering accurate, competitive proposals to brokers. This individual is both detail-oriented and service-minded, ensuring a high-quality experience for brokers and carrier partners and internal sales teams.

This position is open to candidates in California, Arizona, New York, Connecticut, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. We offer a hybrid schedule for those local to an office location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal sales teams and brokers to understand their client’s needs and gather complete and accurate RFP information (census data, plan designs, prior rates, etc.)
  • Serve as a liaison between brokers and carrier partners to facilitate the large group quoting process
  • Submit, track, and manage quotes from multiple carriers and consolidate results for broker presentation
  • Partner with Sales to analyze carrier proposals for accuracy and competitiveness; provide insights and strategy recommendations to brokers and internal sales team
  • Ensure compliance with carrier underwriting guidelines and deadlines
  • Collaborate closely with internal sales teams to support broker engagement and drive quoting activity
  • Monitor quoting pipeline and manage priories to meet service-level agreements and turnaround expectations
  • Maintain accurate records of quoting activity and case status in CRM and/or quoting platforms
  • Stay current on carrier products and offerings, underwriting requirements, rang methodology, and market trends relevant to large/mid-market group business.
  • Participate in broker trainings or carrier updates as needed to remain a reliable quoting resource

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current Accident, Health, and Life Insurance License
  • 3–5 years of experience in employee benefits, preferably in a general agency, carrier, or broker support role
  • Strong knowledge of large/mid-market quoting processes, products (medical, dental, vision, life, disability), and funding types (fully insured, level-funded, self-funded)
  • Familiarity with carrier portals, quoting systems, and RFP submission protocols
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., vlookups, pivot tables) and document management tools
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple quotes and competing deadlines.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Service-minded with a strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred

  • Experience supporting brokers in a general agency environment
  • Knowledge of ACA requirements and underwriting guidelines for large group
  • Understanding of regional and national carrier product portfolios and differentiators
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and quoting platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field
