Verdantas is seeking a Staff Environmental Engineer II. This position will be located in Pawtucket, RI office.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting field activities including collecting samples of various environmental media (soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, and air)
• Performing complex field tasks, including data measurement and collection, operation, and maintenance of remediation systems, troubleshooting, and construction observation
• Participating in environmental investigation programs including Phase l/ll Environmental Site Assessments
• Evaluating environmental regulations
• Preparing environmental reports including data compilation, reduction, and interpretation
• Preparing and reviewing field notes, drawings, contracts, and specifications in accordance with company standards
• Contractor liaison/oversight for investigation and remedial programs
• Problem-solving using standard engineering / scientific methods
• Preparing invoices and budget tracking
• Coordinating project tasks, implementing fieldwork, participating in remedial design efforts
• Demonstrating effective analytical, interpretive, time, and project management skills
• Communicating effectively to team members; both verbal and written forms of communication
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in environmental engineering, geology, or environmental science
• 2 - 4 years of relevant experience
• Proficient with MS Office Suite of products
• Able to conduct some fieldwork, including lifting 50-80 lbs with or without assistance
• 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training is a plus
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle, and be able to commute to sites
