
The Activities Director is appointed by the Principal and reports directly to the Assistant Principal of Student Affairs. The Activities Director is responsible for coordinating and directing a wide range of activities related to the school’s co-curricular programs. The Activities Director is responsible for promoting school pride, culture, and spirit within the student body. The Activities Director may be required to teach (Science/Math/Social Studies/English)
Professional Expectations:
- Member of the Administrative Council, upon invitation of the Principal
- Participates in calendar planning at the administrative level
- Collaborates with the Admissions Office on partnering with our local elementary schools on specific school events
- Supervises the Club and Organization Moderators, oversees expenditures, and submits approved expenditure requests to the Principal
- Serves on the Graduation/Commencement planning team
- Maintains a master schedule of student activities, assemblies, and co-curricular activities
- Participates in national, state, and/or regional activities that advance the leadership skills of elected officers
- Maintains the Activities Budget and effectively communicates with all co-curricular groups/organizations regarding financial standing
- Approves and evaluates all student-led fundraising activities
- Supervises and coordinates all student non-athletic co-curricular events, student body social activities, student pep rallies, assemblies, and special events
- Informs the Dean of the time scheduling for special event days
- Ensures the preparation of the physical facilities for rallies, performances, special events, and Activities assemblies
- Promotes a good publicity program within the school.
- Assumes responsibility to communicate appropriate guidelines for posters and announcements to all Club, Organization, and Performance Groups Moderators.
- Assists in the annual revision of the faculty and student handbooks
- Oversees all class moderator(s)
- Develops and implements leadership curriculum for ASB Officers
- Supervises class moderators in the preparation of social events
- Evaluates the efficiency of the various co-curricular activities for future improvements
- Promotes and directs a good publicity program for non-athletic events within the school, including public address announcements, posters, etc.
- Ensures the proper election process (screening, applications, and installation) of all Clubs, Organizations, and ASB Executive and Class Officers.
- Assists the Assistant Principal of Student Affairs in tracking student engagement and participation across all grade levels
- Performs any other duties assigned by the Principal
Professional responsibilities:
- School-Wide Events & Grade-Level Events
- Supervises promotion, guest passes, set-up, clean-up of all school dances
- Schedules and supervise school ID pictures and senior portraits
- Ensures that faculty and parent chaperones are provided for all social events
- Coordinates Grad Night and its supervision
- Co-Curricular–Clubs & Organizations
- Requires that every student club and organization on campus:
- Compiles a constitution that is followed
- Files the constitution in the Activities Office
- Keeps updated files on all individual Club and Organization activities, membership, etc.
- Supervises all fundraising efforts of the clubs and organizations
- Evaluates the effectiveness of the various co-curricular activities generated by the Clubs and Organizations for future improvements
- ASB (Associated Student Body)
- Supervises the student government program.
- Directly supervises the Student Council, serving as their moderator, moderating all of their meetings and activities, and fulfilling the moderator role with regard to responsibilities.
- Directs all A.S.B. fundraising efforts of the students
- Makes arrangements for and supervises homecoming court elections, homecoming week activities and the homecoming ceremony and dance
- Assures that each class follows the financial policies of the school with regard to collection and expenditures of funds
- Responsible for the quality and appropriate content of all announcements and posters generated by the Student Council
Requirements
Qualifications, Skills, Experience, Profile:
- BA or BS degree in Education, administration, or management
- High School leadership experience preferred
- Strong commitment to the mission of the Catholic Church.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Excellent human relations and interpersonal skills with all stakeholders.
- Strong initiative, organizational & time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Punctuality, and ability to attend off-campus events as necessary; weekend/evening availability is required.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications as needed to perform job functions.

The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range.
