In this role, the HR Project Analyst will provide support to UPMC Presbyterian HR, UPMC Shadyside HR, the Center for Emergency Medicine, and Community Provider Services. They'll work with HR team members and internal customer groups to provide reporting and project support for service center work, as well as retention efforts and hot spot focus work. They'll play a pivotal role in the analysis, design, and implementation of various operational HR processes, metrics, as well as key involvement in talent development programs. Additionally, they may serve as a back-up to our customer facing HR team members providing guidance and support to customers in the absence of the primary HR contact for the customer group.

Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans and executes all project initiatives within the timeline defined for each project effort.
- Work with Human Resources team on a variety of operational project initiatives, including documentation of new processes and procedures and refinement of existing processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal Human Resources team members on all project initiatives taking into account the needs of each areas customer groups and adjusting approach as needed to accommodate.
- Provide Human Resources generalist support to all customer groups as a back-up to the lead Human Resources customer contact.
- Provide oversight to the tracking of documentation of the department's internal shared portal and ensures best practices for use of the site are administered.
- Remain current on Human Resources best practices through training and benchmarking activities.
- Work with the department's Data Coordinator to develop key metrics for analysis; includes heavy use of HR queries as well as Excel to develop analytical reports for use in strategic planning and decision making.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field and 2 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with a heavy emphasis on Human Resources operations, performance and talent management programs required.
- OR High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with a heavy emphasis on Human Resources operations, performance and talent management programs required.
- PHR, SPHR certification, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certification or UPMC HCI Strategic HR Business Partner Certification preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with proven ability to take initiative and work independently while also providing support to internal colleagues required.
- Innovative and flexible approach to problem solving with a focus on continuous improvement and best practices with the ability to influence and promote new ideas required.
- Highly proficient with all Microsoft Office applications with significant Excel and Power Point experience is required; experience with Microsoft SharePoint preferred
