Qualifications Of The HR & Payroll Coordinator

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HR Assistant, Staff Assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position is REQUIRED
  • Familiarity with standard hiring practices, such as scheduling interviews and onboarding processes.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage tasks with competing priorities and deadlines, independently determining order of priority and self-initiating other value-added tasks
  • Detail oriented -- accurately checks processes and tasks, discovers, and corrects errors
  • Quick learner that grasps concepts and processes easily and understands how they affect each other
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Adobe PDF
  • Minimum of 2 year business or HR related degree or in the process of obtaining

Primary Responsibilities of the HR & Payroll Coordinator will include:

  • Responsible for performing HR related assignments and carries out responsibilities including, but not limited to: scheduling interviews, new hire onboarding documentation, employee engagements, and employment compliance related to record retention
  • Process paperwork for benefits enrollment of new hires and any employee benefit changes or questions
  • Process required paperwork for employee new hires, transfers, changes in job classification and other related employment matters
  • Process payroll and reconciles all payroll entries and invoices
  • Reviews all accounts payable and ensures timely payment; verifies amounts and calls vendors on any discrepancies
  • Provides clerical and operational support to other human resource staff
  • Other tasks as assigned
