Position Summary:
The Business Analyst is responsible for developing and analyzing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across all YMCA programs and departments, including but not limited to membership, wellness, youth development, philanthropy, and operations. This role supports the YMCA’s strategic and operational goals by delivering actionable, data-
driven insights that enhance organizational performance and efficiency. The Business Analyst reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Information Technology and works closely with leadership across all service areas, providing timely and relevant reporting, data, and analytics.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Collaboration: Builds and nurtures strategic relationships to enhance support for the Y. Serves as a community leader building collaborations based on trust and credibility to advance the Y’s mission and goals. Communicates for influence to attain buy-in and support of goals. Provides tools and resources for the development of others.
Operational Effectiveness: Integrates multiple thinking processes to make decisions. Involves staff at all levels in the development of programs and activities. Ensures execution of plans. Institutes sound accounting procedures and financial controls. Assigns clear accountability and ensures continuous improvement.
Personal Growth: Fosters a learning environment embracing diverse abilities and approaches. Creates a sense of urgency and positive tension to support change. Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills required to perform well; uses best practices and demonstrates up-to-date knowledge and skills in technology.

- Develop, track, and analyze KPIs for enrollment, budgeting, staffing, and other operational areas within Centralized Childcare.
- Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Create and maintain dashboard reports to monitor trends, identify gaps, and suggest areas for improvement.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on program performance.
- Collaborate with program leaders to interpret date and guide continuous improvement
- Assist in the development of budget and forecasts based using historical data and projected trends.
- Monitor and evaluate financial performance metrics, identifying cost-saving opportunities and strategies to enhance revenue.

- Partner with finance and operational teams to ensure efficient and sustainable program delivery.
- Work with directors and leadership to improve operational processes and service delivery across departments.
- Track and analyze growth and retention metrics across YMCA services.
- Identify emerging trends and recommend process improvements.
- Contribute to the development and execution of strategic initiatives across the YMCA.
- Partner with senior leadership, finance, HR, marketing, and program teams to align on organizational objectives.
- Support other business operations as needed, based on evolving priorities.
- Present clear findings and recommendations to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or financial/operational analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and program evaluation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with occasional evening or weekend hours as needed.
- Must be able to travel locally to YMCA branches and program sites as required.
