Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bilingual (Spanish) HR Generalist to join our team at our food manufacturing facility. This role is critical in supporting daily HR operations while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish, with a strong understanding of HR practices and compliance in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a liaison between management and employees to address concerns and provide guidance on company policies and procedures.
  • Support and execute recruitment activities including job postings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, onboarding, and conducting new hire orientations (in both English and Spanish).
  • Administer HR programs such as benefits, leave of absence, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HRIS with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Interpret and explain HR policies, procedures, and programs to employees in a clear and culturally sensitive manner.
  • Partner with supervisors and managers to resolve employee issues, provide coaching, and support disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and OSHA regulations.
  • Facilitate and support training sessions (e.g., safety, compliance, harassment prevention) in both English and Spanish.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover trends.
  • Participate in audits, reporting, and documentation related to HR compliance and food safety standards.
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and productive work environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) is required.
  • Strong understanding of employment law, HR best practices, and EEO regulations.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience in food manufacturing or USDA/FDA-regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and workplace compliance in a production setting.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
