Deputy Director – Dani’s Place (Mental Health Recovery Services)
Location: Toledo, OH
Unison Health has been selected as the Program Administrator of Dani’s Place, a 16-bed transitional residential mental health rehabilitation center providing supervised treatment for individuals leaving inpatient psychiatric care. We are seeking a Deputy Director to help develop, implement, and lead this transformative program, designed to support adults (18+) on their path to recovery.
About the Role:
The Deputy Director will collaborate closely with the Program Manager to oversee the operations of this 24/7 residential recovery center. This leadership role focuses on creating a safe, supportive, and clinically sound environment for residents with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI), including individuals with forensic involvement. The Deputy Director will be responsible for shaping program policies, developing staff, and ensuring fidelity to recovery-oriented care.

The Deputy Director will be responsible for shaping program policies, developing staff, and ensuring fidelity to recovery-oriented care.
Responsibilities:
- Lead operations of a 24/7 mental health recovery residence for adults transitioning from inpatient psychiatric care
- Develop and implement program policies and procedures
- Hire, train, and supervise a cross-disciplinary team
- Ensure clinical practices align with evidence-based recovery and rehabilitation models
- Work with forensic and SPMI populations in a trauma-informed and respectful manner
- Participate in on-call rotations and may work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Collect, analyze, and report data to stakeholders and funding sources
- Foster strong partnerships with community agencies and healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with all applicable licensing and regulatory requirements
- Independent licensure required: LISW or LPCC (supervisory designation preferred – LISW-S or LPCC-S)
- At least three years of clinical leadership experience in behavioral health or residential treatment
- Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness and/or forensic backgrounds
- Proven skills in staff supervision, program development, and quality improvement
- Strong interpersonal and crisis-management abilities
- Ability to travel locally as needed and support a 24/7 care model
