Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%

Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%

These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.

About This Job

Axos Bank is seeking a skilled and experienced hands-on technical IT Manager to lead and manage our Information Technology department. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Microsoft Active Directory (AD), Azure, Office 365 (O365), Database Management, and Security Operations (SecOps).

This role plays a critical part in maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure to support the bank's operations efficiently and securely. Responsibilities:

  • Microsoft AD Management: Lead the management and maintenance of Microsoft Active Directory services, including user and group management, GPOs, DNS, and domain trust relationships
  • Azure Services: Oversee and optimize the utilization of Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure AD, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Logic Apps. Ensure scalability and reliability of our cloud infrastructure
  • O365 Administration: Manage Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. Ensure smooth email communication, collaboration, and data storage for all bank employees
  • Database Management: Supervise the administration of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL), ensuring data integrity, performance, and availability. Implement database security and backup strategies
  • Security Operations (SecOps): Lead the security operations function, including implementing and monitoring security policies, conducting risk assessments, and responding to security incidents. Collaborate with the Security team to maintain a secure environment
  • Team Management: Supervise and develop a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, setting objectives, and ensuring that team members are equipped with the necessary skills and resources to succeed
  • Project Management: Oversee IT projects, from planning to execution, ensuring they align with the bank's business objectives. Monitor project timelines and budgets, and report progress to senior management
  • Compliance and Regulation: Ensure IT systems and processes comply with industry regulations, data protection laws, and banking regulations
  • Budgeting: Develop and manage the IT department's budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining a high level of service
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning: Establish and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime and data loss in the event of system failures or emergencies
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for systems, procedures, and policies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 10+ years' of hands-on experience in related field, preferably in the financial industry
  • 5+ years' of managerial experience
  • Demonstrated experience as a hands-on technical manager, actively involved in designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions, with a proven ability to lead and mentor a team of technical professionals
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Azure, Office 365, database management, and security operations
  • Relevant certifications, such as MCSE, MCSA, Azure / O365 Certifications
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management abilities
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements in the banking sector
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and industry trends
