
This individual will serve to reduce overall IT costs and mitigate business and financial risk related to Paycoms ownership and use of IT Assets. They will strive to improve IT procurement processes, license optimization, and agility of IT operations. They will work closely with Paycoms Accounting team on budgeting and other strategic decision-making processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Regularly negotiate contracts and suggest adjustments/modifications to keep the interest of Paycom at the forefront during all procurement purchases
- Collaborate closely with Paycom legal and accounting departments to review contracts and control the execution of spend against budget(s) on any IT purchases
- Regularly utilize CMDB to track asset lifecycles and inventory of both hardware and software assets
- Execute large purchase orders and navigate legal and accounting processes to facilitate timely project completions and hardware/software acquisitions
- Monitor software usage and identify areas of under/over utilization without specific direction work with self-motivation to remedy these scenarios and keep the financial interest of Paycom at the forefront
- Ensure that license and maintenance renewals are completed within the predefined deadlines to avoid negative audit findings
- Suggest improvements to procurement processes and technology on a regular basis
- Suggest improvements to ITAM processes and technology on a regular basis
- Ensure compliance in regards to contractual or legal terms and conditions
- Coordinate and manage license reconciliation efforts
- Contribute to internal and external audits
- Regularly provide guidance and direction to junior ITAM Analysts
Documentation and reporting responsibilities:
- Legal contract redlines provide redline suggestions to legal times (internal and external)
- Create ROI analysis documents to evaluate and compare hardware and software solutions
- Wiki entries for team training and knowledge transfer
- Internal process documentation including diagrams
- Purchase orders
- Creation of Effective License Position (ELP) reports
- Creation of Asset inventory reports
- Creation of Cost forecasting reports
- Creation of other IT asset related reports
Miscellaneous:
- Attends meetings and serves on committees, as requested
- Performs additional duties and assignments as requested
Education/Certification:
- Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science or related discipline
Experience:
- 4+ years total combined IT experience
- 4+ years of relevant IT experience
- 1+ years of systems administration experience
- 3+ years of ITAM or IT procurement experience
- Strong experience using an ITAM platform(s) such as Flexera FNMS / Flexera One
- Experience interacting with an attorney to modify software license agreements/EULAs/vendor contracts
- Experience interacting with accountants to plan and reconcile budget(s)
- Experience working with minimal supervision as the single POC with external vendors
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
- Certification(s) in IT Procurement or Supply Chain and Inventory Management
- Certification(s) in Lean Six Sigma
- Accounting or legal experience a plus
- Systems administration experience a plus

Skills/Abilities:
- Experience with software licensing/EULAs
- Experience interacting with internal/external legal teams to negotiate contracts
- Experience interacting with accounting teams - creation of deliverables they would consume such as ROI analysis and financial reporting documents
- Experience working with minimal supervision as the single POC with external vendors
- Strong experience with ITAM software platforms such as Flexera
- Strong understanding of IT systems administrations and server administration concepts equivalent to a low-mid level systems administrator skillset(TCP/IP protocols, SNMP, web/server relationships, database concepts, etc)
- Knowledge and experience with IT budgeting/purchasing and inventory management
- Experience leading software and hardware contract negotiations, enterprise agreements, etc with internal business unit team stakeholders
- Demonstrates strong math, analytical, and interpersonal skills required to successfully work in a team environment and communicate effectively across a variety of stakeholder groups.
- Ability to develop, publish, and communicate processes and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and able to keep track of many tasks
- Can evaluate critical systems, prioritize workflow and determine solutions
