Summary
The Sr. Director of Product Management will oversee the opportunity identification, prioritization, planning (business case and operational plan development), product design, and development of new products within RealPage’s payment solutions and partner integration strategy. This role ensures ideas are both technically and commercially viable and manages the product roadmap lifecycle in the strategy, planning, and execution of our product and partner integration framework.
The Sr. Director of Product Management is responsible for leading the Product Management team and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to understand, prioritize and define customer needs. This is inclusive of gathering and prioritizing requirements for the product, defining the vision for the product, and collaborating with other team members from the engineering, product design, marketing, sales, and operations departments to ensure that the financial and customer satisfaction goals are met. In addition to this, the Sr. Director of Product Management also ensures that that the company’s overall strategy and goals are supported by those of the product, and that the product goals and strategy do not deviate from that of the business.

Primary Responsibilities
- Successfully manage and coach a team of Product Managers of varying levels; interview, hire, and train Product Managers at all levels.
- Lead and have accountability over the success of the RealPage Payments product, a strategic focus area for Realpage.
- Create product vision, strategy and associated roadmap for RealPage Payments, delivering focus at each stage of the product lifecycle (from inception to GTM).
- Plan, assign, and direct workloads of Product Team; appraise performance, rewarding, and disciplining Product Team.
- Manage existing product enhancements, increasing profitability decreasing expenses.
- Establish metrics to measure effectiveness and drive improvements.
- Synthesize ideas on strategy, planning and execution of next generation of products; build consensus and drive execution.
- Maintain product and market knowledge, keeping up to date on market trends.
- Aggressively identify opportunities for improvement and incorporate new product features on an on-going basis; define market opportunities and develop product business requirements with the help of direct team.
- Lead cross-functional teams to realize product concepts and bring them to market; work with customers and internally to define and refine product requirements.
- Best practice research and benchmarking. Conduct competitive analysis and develop a strong understanding of stakeholders to drive development decisions.
- Own product readiness, migration and sunsetting decisions.
- Act as product evangelist both internally and externally.
- Develop and manage relationships with customers, through regular conversations and research.
- Additional duties as needed.
- 12+ years domain experience (Payments), including product management and innovation experience, including management of product managers at all levels
- Bachelors in Engineering, Business, or related field; Master’s Degree preferred
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, work independently, and take initiative
- Deep technical understanding of software/ML product development
- Strategic and innovative mindset
- Manages and influences cross-organizationally for success of product
- Manages and delivers to success metrics to meet company goals and objectives
- Experience in reviewing technical solution design and evaluation to ensure it meets business requirements and long-term product goals.
- Innovation – develop new ideas through collaboration and execute on creative ideas.
- Product Management expertise, including business case development, experience in data analytics and reporting, market trends/analysis, new product introduction process, operational readiness, go-to-market planning, product roadmap development, and product life cycle management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interface with all levels of the organization
- Ability to speak with clients and at industry events, both in presentations and in one-on-one settings
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while meeting regular deadlines
