JOB SUMMARY: Working on site in our CBO, scrubbing practice schedules, verifying Medicaid eligibility, updating insurance policies in our Practice Management system and ensuring TPL is updated on patient’s accounts. This position’s focus is lowering Medicaid eligibility denials by ensuring Medicaid claims are sent to the correct carrier SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Daily scrubbing of patient schedules to ensure accurate Medicaid carrier
  • Contacting patients to ensure up to date demographic information
  • Facilitates collections of co-pay, coinsurance, deductibles, and past due balances
  • May serve as a point person from within as well as outside of the department
  • Advance technical skills to master and stay proficient in fast paced payor requirement

  • COMPUTER
    • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and database applications required.
    • Advanced skills in a Medical Office Management software program, preferably Allscripts.
  • FOREIGN LANGUAGE
    • Spanish-speaking skills preferred

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Associate Degree in Business, Health Administration, or a related field or Two (2) years of relevant experience or a comparable combination of education and/or experience.

SCHEDULE: Regular attendance on-site is an essential function of this position. Typical business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (or flexed to best meet the needs of the clients and/or the Division); 40 hours per workweek; weekend, holiday, or evening coverage is occasionally required.
