We are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Architectural Drafter to join our growing design team. This role requires more than technical proficiency — we are looking for a team player who is receptive to feedback, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is passionate about translating creative vision into buildable plans.

As part of our architectural design team, you’ll generate technical drawings and 3D models that reflect both aesthetic vision and structural soundness. The ideal candidate will demonstrate fluency in CAD software, a working knowledge of building codes, and a basic understanding of engineering concepts. Site visits and ongoing collaboration with architects, designers, engineers, and project managers will be a key part of your role.

**We are seeking candidates who reside in the Triangle area and can commute daily to our office, located at 5102 Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd, Suite 100, Durham, NC 27707. This is a full-time, on-site role, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM**

Key Responsibilities

Interpret architectural concepts, building specifications, and code requirements into detailed construction drawings.

Use AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM platforms to produce accurate, code-compliant technical drawings and 3D models.

Collaborate actively with architects, designers, engineers, and field supervisors to ensure alignment between designs and field conditions.

Participate in job site visits to perform field measurements and confirm existing conditions.

Revise plans based on feedback from project leads, supervisors, and regulatory requirements.

Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Stay informed of industry trends, software updates, and construction innovations.

Contribute constructively in a team-oriented environment and maintain a solution-driven mindset.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Architectural Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field; ADDA certification is a plus.

3–5 years of experience in residential drafting or architectural design.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM modeling software.

Familiarity with residential construction methods, building codes, and general structural principles.

Basic understanding of engineering disciplines as they apply to architectural design (e.g., structural framing, mechanical layouts).

Strong mathematical, organizational, and analytical skills.

Ability to receive and incorporate constructive feedback in a professional, timely manner.

Comfortable conducting job site visits and communicating findings to project stakeholders.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
