The Septic Division Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the septic division, including operations, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant service delivery for residential and commercial septic system services, including pumping, repair, installation, and inspections.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Operational Oversight
- Manage day-to-day operations of septic pumping, inspections, repairs, and installations.
- Plan and schedule service calls, installations, and emergency response jobs.
- Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Coordinate equipment usage and ensure readiness of trucks and machinery.
- Manage division budget, cost control, and financial reporting in coordination with the finance team in order to meet/exceed revenue targets.
- Approve invoices, timecards, and work orders.
- Analyze KPIs and recommend operational improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- Oversee customer interactions, ensuring satisfaction and timely resolution of service issues.
- Provide estimates for repairs or new installations and assist with customer education.
- Support business development efforts by identifying service opportunities and upselling where appropriate.
- Maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health and environmental codes related to septic work.
- Ensure that all personnel are trained on safety procedures, PPE use, and hazard identification.
- Maintain proper recordkeeping of inspections, permits, and waste disposal logs.
- Oversee maintenance and repair of company-owned septic equipment and vehicles.
- Supervise, mentor and support septic technicians, drivers, installers, and administrative support.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and professionalism within the team
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in septic, wastewater, or related industry; 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of septic system operations, installation standards, and waste disposal regulations.
- Proven ability to manage teams, coordinate schedules, and drive results.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with scheduling and CRM software (e.g., Field Edge).
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; CDL and/or hoisting license a plus.
- Appropriate state certifications for septic system installation or inspection preferred.
- OSHA 10/30 certification
- Experience with excavation and heavy equipment
- Bilingual in English/Spanish

- Primarily field-based with some office hours. Regular travel within service area.
- Mobility: Must be able to walk, stand, and move about job sites, including uneven terrain, construction zones, and confined spaces.
- Lifting: Occasionally required to lift and carry materials or equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Dexterity: Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate tools, equipment, or computer systems.
- Vision and Hearing: Must have adequate close and distance vision for reading plans, inspecting work, and observing safety hazards. Adequate hearing is necessary for communication on job sites and during safety briefings.
- Driving: Regular driving to job sites, client meetings, and between company facilities.
- Climbing and Bending: May need to climb ladders, bend, kneel, or crouch during site inspections or equipment evaluations.
- Endurance: Ability to work long hours during emergencies, weather events, or project deadlines.
