SRM Concrete is seeking a proactive and organized Human Resources Coordinator to support operations within the Middle Tennessee region. The ideal candidate has a positive, “can-do” attitude, is highly detail-oriented, and brings prior experience in human resources. Familiarity with Dayforce is preferred. This role reports directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and collaborates daily with the General Manager and Plant Managers for the assigned region.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, with 40–60 hours per week based on operational needs.

Compensation

Annual salary is commensurate with experience and weekly hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for team members in the Middle Tennessee region, addressing HR-related questions and concerns.
  • Provide administrative support to plant supervisors and the corporate HR department.
  • Conduct pre-employment processes including FMCSA Clearinghouse reviews, background checks, MVRs, drug testing, and physicals.
  • Input new hire information into onboarding, payroll, and timekeeping systems.
  • Partner with Ready Mix Instructors (RMIs) to facilitate weekly new hire orientations.
  • Monitor and approve weekly employee time punches to ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Track and document employee absences, vacation, and PTO requests in the shared calendar.
  • Ensure all PTO requests are reviewed and processed prior to payroll deadlines.
  • Oversee the submission and processing of disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and separations within Dayforce.
  • Manage unemployment claims, wage audits, and hearing responses for the assigned region.
  • Maintain accurate records of current DOT medical cards and driver’s licenses.
  • Serve as a resource for employee benefits-related questions.
  • Coordinate with the appropriate department contact for all employee leave of absence requests, ensuring compliance with company policy and legal guidelines.
  • Serve as the regional liaison for work-related injuries by coordinating with the Work Comp Administrator and supporting communication with the injured team member and their manager regarding treatment updates, restrictions, and return-to-work/light duty assignments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
