About The Role

This role leads Research Services' efforts in process optimization and technological transformation. They play a crucial role in driving efficiency, productivity, and innovation across all departments.

What You'll Do Here

  • Conduct comprehensive audits of existing business processes across all Research Services departments.
  • Identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and areas for improvement in current workflows.
  • Analyze data and metrics to quantify the impact of current processes on productivity and costs.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to optimize processes and systems in alignment with business objectives.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  • Evaluate and recommend cutting-edge tools and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with IT department to ensure seamless integration of new technologies.
  • Develop a long-term strategy for process improvement and digital transformation.
  • Create and oversee the implementation of process optimization initiatives.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of improvements.
  • Lead robust change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Develop and implement training programs to upskill employees on new systems and procedures.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation throughout Research Services.
  • Communicate the value and impact of process innovations to executive leadership.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors.

What You'll Need To Succeed

  • Ideally a Master's degree or higher level degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Medicine, Sciences. Equivalent fields and /or equivalent experience could be considered.
  • 10+ years of experience in senior leadership roles focused on process improvement and digital transformation.
  • Certifications in Six Sigma, Lean Management, or similar methodologies are a plus
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing large-scale efficiency initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of various business functions and how they interconnect.
  • Deep understanding of how technology can be used in business operations.
  • Able to see the big picture while also being able to dive into the details of complex processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership abilities.
  • Fluent English language skills required (both written and spoken)
  • Ability to travel for site visits and/or meetings (approx. 10%)

  • The employee communicates frequently with Altasciences employees across Canada and the United States. As such, English is the main language used to correspond between offices.
  • The employee frequently communicates with English-only customers outside the province of Quebec.

What We Offer

The salary range estimated for this position is $100,000 - $150,000. Please note that hourly rates/salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, prior relevant experience, skills, education, certification, location as well as internal equity and market data.
