BayCare Clinic Corporate Headquarters is looking for a HIM Scanning Specialist in Green Bay, WI. We’re looking for a detail oriented, thoughtful candidate who wants to contribute to a positive experience for all our patients. This role is full time, between our core hours, Monday-Friday between 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. No Holidays! No Weekends!

We are a physician-owned entity with joint ownership in Aurora BayCare Medical Center, a 167-bed hospital located in Green Bay, WI, offering us a built-in referral base. The Job
- Prepares, evaluates, and scans patient information and documentation to the appropriate location within the electronic medical record.
- Reviews quality of scanned image to ensure readability, size, presentation, and completeness of document.
- Creates and/or selects appropriate encounter/patient visit or order-based document (e.g. diagnostic test), then records information to include date, facility, and provider.
- Determines appropriate clinical information to enter in document description.
- Scan and data-enter laboratory values into an order within the electronic medical record and verifies laboratory results ensuring CLIA compliance as directed/trained.
- Performs accurate & complete data entry including identifying and selecting correct patient and investigating questionable information.
- Performs clerical functions to include answering telephone calls.
- Notifies management or enters orders as appropriate to ensure efficient retrieval.
- Respects and maintains confidentiality.
- Works in a safe, compliant and ethical manner at all times.
- Completion of health information management or healthcare business program preferred.
- One year experience in medical office environment desired.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, attention-to-detail and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, problem-solve, and make decisions with good judgment.
- Proficiency in utilizing office equipment plus a working knowledge of all applicable software.
