Credentialing Team Lead – Lewisville, TX

The Credentialing Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing the Credentialing Coordinator team members while maintaining regular cooperation and compliance with all regulatory, accreditation and membership-based organizations. The Credentialing Team Lead will carry out credentialing and licensing processes as they relate to BayMark entities and clinic employees.

Essential Job Functions

  • Support Credentialing Manager with delegation of all credentialing related tasks to Credentialing Coordinators.
  • Assist Credentialing Manager with development and implementation of credentialing projects.
  • Meet with Credentialing Manager weekly to address and resolve issues, set and prioritize goals and improve processes.
  • Assist with staff communication to provide updates, resolve issues, set goals and maintain standards.
  • Participate in required trainings as appropriate to maintain compliance with state and federal agencies.
  • Participate in meetings as required.
  • Provide application instruction and guidance to Credentialing Coordinators.
  • Review applications (new and recredentialing for practitioners and clinics) for completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure that all credentialing is accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Provide contract support as required.
  • Ensure clinic and practitioner licensure and other supplemental documentation is current and maintained in the appropriate file location.
  • Maintain close communication with practitioners, leadership, and licensing/credentialing entities – both locally and in other states.

  • Support leadership in maintaining a positive working environment.
  • Must be able to focus on presented activity in distracting environments.
  • Work with an array of departments and leadership (HR, legal, accounting), both locally and in other states in order to obtain information and process required applications.
  • Must be present during working hours at the office for meetings and access to a computer in accordance with company policy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required. Associates degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 18 months in the Credentialing Coordinator position.
  • Preferred: Three (3) years of related experience in reviewing and maintaining informational databases and auditing paperwork such as application and licensing documentation for accuracy.
  • Two years of experience working in the field of substance abuse preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership and time-management skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a timely manner.
  • Ability to identify potential issues and proactively present solutions.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills are required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and possess strong analytical and organizational skills in managing multiple projects in different consecutive stages.
  • Proficient with CAQH, NPPES and PECOS systems.
  • Must be able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment in which attention to detail and audit-trail documentation must be maintained in the face of multiple competing demands. Developing a positive rapport with licensing and credentialing entities, subcontractors and employees is critically important.
  • Ability to evaluate current and incoming projects for prioritization.
  • Initiative to take charge of unforeseen situations, solve problems and adjust to schedule changes.
