Responsibilities of the Winner Content Coordinator include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the Winner Content segment of the Office of Communications’ public information program.
- Serves as a liaison to Ohio Lottery prizewinners.
- Contacts prizewinners to gather information about their winning stories for blogs, releases, and publications. Communicates with and interviews prizewinners and writes stories. Collaborates with the Chief Communications Officer and Videographer for prizewinner story videos.
- Develops, prepares, writes, types, proofs, and issues press releases on various topics including winner information, Retailers of the Week, game updates, agency events, Partners in Education, etc.
- Writes, types, and edits general writing assignments and performs lay-out work for inclusion in publications, articles, and newsletters.
- As needed, travels to locations for winner stories and to gather information for assignments.
- Writes articles for internal Employee Knowledge Center.
- Makes improvements to Winner Content efforts.
- Serves as a resource person for information on the positive public presentation of Ohio Lottery Commission programs and activities.
- Conducts interviews, gathers information and photos, and drafts articles to contribute to Office of Communications publications.
- Works as a part of a team to process the monthly Ticket Seller publication, which includes: Writing and contributing articles, assisting with editing and performing lay-out work, gathering photos/art/images to enhance and support the publication, maintaining mailing lists, and more.
- Contributes to Office of Communications digital content by writing blogs, engaging with social media community, corresponding with customers, assisting with social media promotions, and creating graphics.
- Assists with public records requests.
- Performs other duties and works on special projects.
Unusual Work Schedule: 40 hour work week which may include days, some evenings and some weekends

- Or completion of undergraduate core program in journalism or communication; 6 months experience in public multi-media techniques & relations in field of journalism or communication; valid driver's license.
- Or 12 months experience as Public Information Specialist, 64420; valid driver's license.
