About The Role

About The Role
The Cash & Control Analyst in Accounts Receivable is responsible for owning the end-to-end cash application process and ensuring internal controls over incoming payments are followed and documented. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate customer accounts, ensuring compliance with financial policies and audit requirements. This role involves analyzing discrepancies, preparing reports, and collaborating with various departments to resolve issues.
What The Candidate Will Do
- Overseeing accuracy of incoming payments (bank transfers, lockbox, ACH, wire, credit card, etc.) to customer accounts.
- Monitor bank accounts daily to track and post incoming payments promptly.
- Perform timely and accurate reconciliation of receipts to customer invoices.
- Manage unidentified and unapplied cash, working with internal teams and customers to resolve issues.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of daily cash postings in the ERP system.
- Create policies, writing SOP's, Coordinating in Migration with different teams, etc.
- Working on Cash related enhancement with internal & external Eng team
- Maintain and enforce internal controls around cash application processes to ensure SOX or other regulatory compliance.
- Conduct periodic reviews and audits of cash transactions and documentation.
- Investigate discrepancies, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash and control reports, including cash received, unapplied cash, and exceptions.
- Monitor and analyze trends in unapplied cash and recommend process improvements.
- Work closely with the Eng, Collections, Billing, Treasury, and accounting teams to support end-to-end AR processes.
- Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve cash application or account reconciliation issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to cash handling and AR controls.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field or equivalent work experience
- 2-5 years of experience in cash application, reconciliation, collections or related finance role
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience in a SOX-compliant or audit-driven environment
- Strong understanding of internal controls and risk management practices
- Familiarity with automation tools and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Previous experience in the logistics, supply chain, or financial services industries is a plus
