Job Summary
The Business Analytics Analyst Lead involves leading the design, development, and optimization of complex data pipelines and multi-dimensional data models within a lakehouse environment, utilizing Apache Spark or PySpark for scalable data processing and advanced transformations. The individual ensures seamless integration into enterprise-level architectures, enhances system performance and scalability, and drives process improvements by delivering strategic recommendations to senior management. They guide data teams in developing optimized, cost-effective BI solutions, participate in data governance, and promote innovative data practices while maintaining high performance and accuracy standards across the organization.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Leads the design, development, and optimization of complex data pipelines and workflows within the lakehouse environment, using Apache Spark or PySpark for scalable data processing, ETL/ELT tasks, and advanced data transformations.
- Ensures smooth integration within enterprise-level data lakehouse architectures and drives efforts to enhance system performance and scalability across the organization.
- Designs, develops, tests, and implements advanced multi-dimensional data models, customization’s, and integrations within the lakehouse environment.
- Utilizes high-performance computing resources to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and data accuracy.
- Identifies and leads process improvement initiatives, delivering detailed assessments, business cases, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Guides data teams in developing data models, BI solutions, and best practices for implementing scalable, cost-effective, and optimized data solutions within the lakehouse platform.
- Participates in data governance efforts and ensures performance standards are met across the organization.
- Promotes the adoption of innovative data solutions and ensures best practices are followed throughout all analytical processes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Ten or more years of experience in data-related fields.
- Proven expertise in developing data architectures, models, and pipelines.
- Proficiency in Databricks and at least two (2) of the following tools:
- Python, SQL, Apache Spark, SAS, R, or similar.
- Experience in building scalable data systems and analytical solutions in large-scale environments.
- Professional expertise in managing analytical warehouses ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of all data-driven solutions.
- Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Fifteen ore more years of experience in programming within large-scale enterprise data environments.
- Expertise in SQL, Python, Apache Spark, or PySpark, with a deep understanding of data lakehouse platforms, scalable data processing, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Experience with advanced analytics, machine learning models, and predictive modeling, familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP), and unstructured data analytics is a plus.
- Extensive experience across all layers of analytics, from data warehouse operations to data modeling, and through to BI and AI layers.
- Extensive experience with BI tools (e.g., Databricks, Tableau, SAS, OAC, Qlik, Strategy) to deliver actionable insights to leadership and stakeholders.
- Expertise in version control systems like Git for collaborative development.
- Proven ability to lead data teams, align data and analytics strategies with organizational goals, and mentor staff to execute impactful, data-driven initiatives.
- Exceptional communication skills to present complex findings to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to influence business decisions, manage large-scale projects, and deliver results under tight timelines.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams, translating complex requirements into technical solutions that drive actionable strategies.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel), SharePoint, and collaboration tools, with excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills that facilitate effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Professional understanding of the analytical tools and programs utilized at each stage of data product development, ensuring data security, seamless integration and performance optimization across the entire data pipeline.
- Professional knowledge of data governance, semantic layers, AI model training, and agile methodologies
