Job Title: Clerk Level V – Union (Office Services)
Full/Part Time: Full-Time

Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities: The position of Mail Clerk - Level V may either direct the activities of other mail clerks to ensure accurate and timely completion of work Principal Responsibilities:
Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent plus experience with duplicating machinery, postal equipment and regulations Must be computer literate and at least 2 years as a Mail Clerk Level or equivalent experience elsewhere.
Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience:
Working Conditions: This position operates sometimes in an office setting with important detail to deadlines Main position is on a specific campus Long periods of standing and walking throughout the day Ability to lift 50Lbs or over.
Materials & Equipment: Computer, postal machine.

- Organize, file and track incoming daily mail
- Receive and sign for packages delivered via FedEx, UPS and any other vender.
- Properly distribute mail, packages, inter-office envelopes and paper orders throughout campus
- Maintain an organized office space
- Independently solve work problems or work closely with supervisor in settling complaints or handling other difficult situations
- Must be able to learn new tasks through training or experiences
- Reply to written, telephone and personal correspondence
- Must be able to interact with and support the administrative staff
- Ensure the proper distribution of mail throughout the office
- Knowledge of campus layout and operations
- Assist students and parents with any information and questions
- Keep note of supplies need for campus (i.e. stamps, paper, envelopes)
- Lift packages of 50Lbs or over
- Must be able to operate a postage machine, weight scale and postal knowledge
Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent plus experience with duplicating machinery, postal equipment and regulations Must be computer literate and at least 2 years as a Mail Clerk Level or equivalent experience elsewhere.
Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to lift heavy packages
- Knowledge of Postal equipment
- Driver’s license required
