
The National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ), a national non-profit organization
headquartered in Reno, NV, is seeking a Director, Information Technology to build on the exceptional
88-year record of improving courts and systems’ practice and raising awareness of the core issues that
touch the lives of many of our nation’s children and families. As a leader in continuing education

The mission of NCJFCJ is to provide all judges, courts, and related agencies involved with juvenile, family,
and domestic violence cases with the knowledge and skills to improve the lives of families and children

This high profile role will be comprised of managing and developing the IT Team and department; setting
the IT strategy and working with the team and executives to implement it; developing and overseeing the IT Budget; accountable for information security, IT administration and purchasing. The IT Director will
be responsible for working with the program team to secure appropriate IT funding in grant budgets.
Primary accountabilities:
• Developing and implementing a plan for improving and securing organizational technology systems
that is in line with the overall organizational mission and strategy.
• Managing and developing the IT Team as an effective division for supporting and building the
organizational technology capacity.
• Working directly with a broad set of IT vendors, including for web development, product
evaluations, contract negotiations, order fulfillment (equipment and services), implementation, user
training, troubleshooting, and presenting solutions to upper management.
• Managing outsourced vendors including web development, server management, and security.
• Managing IT information such as licensing and contracts.
• Working with program team to secure appropriate IT funding in grant budgets.
• Assessing current tools/technology used by organization and making recommendations.
• Assessing and monitoring IT Security and overseeing compliance with modern security protocols.
• Ensuring organization team members receive adequate training on new or upgraded hardware/
software that is implemented.
Responsibilities:
• Provide focused, business-minded IT leadership, emphasizing IT’s measurable contribution to
business success and business metrics (revenue growth, profitability, customer service, expense,
etc.). Direct experience with IT planning and budget management are required
• Responsible for recruiting, motivating, and organizational development.
• Operationalize IT processes across the company. Integrating the IT so that everything is running
as a unified system
• Secure consistent and stable web development capacity
• Establish credibility throughout the organization, and set an example as a proactive senior leader
and change agent who earns respect by demonstrating a sound understanding of business
objectives and goals
• Oversee the deployment of company-wide technology standards spanning across both applications
and infrastructure
• Assist in overseeing the company’s network infrastructure and provide security, compliance and
provision for disaster recovery
• Maintain security of all data proprietary to the company and provide for the complete backup of all
computer systems in case of system failure or disaster
• Evaluate, select, and implement new technology (hardware, software, and services) needed to
support the company
• Identify opportunities to enhance revenue and/or reduce costs through finding the right balance of
resources
This full-time Director, Information Technology position is located in Reno, Nevada. With a
population of over 500,000, Reno is the largest city in Northern Nevada. It is nestled on the eastern slope
of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and provides unlimited indoor and outdoor recreational activities. Spectacular Lake Tahoe and the world’s largest concentration of ski facilities are all within a fifty-mile

The successful candidate for this position must be able to travel to and relocate to Reno, Nevada. The
NCJFCJ is not able to provide reimbursement for interview travel or relocation expenses.
