We’re Grease Monkey Garage. We are a mobile automotive diagnostics and repair company specializing in ADAS calibrations, electrical diagnostics, and programming services. Our primary clients are body, automotive repair, and transmission shops that need expert-level support for diagnostics, calibrations, and programming.

As we expand into the Chicago area, we’re looking for a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a fast-growing company that plans to expand into 10+ markets in the next 2–3 years.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs for a variety of vehicles.
• Work directly with body shops, auto repair shops, and transmission shops that rely on our expertise for ADAS calibrations, programming, and electrical diagnostics.
• Calibrate ADAS systems (we’ll teach you if you’re unfamiliar, as long as you’re a quick learner).
• Use factory software for programming and diagnostics—experience with at least one manufacturer’s system is preferred.
• Deliver high-quality service to our clients with minimal supervision.
• Represent our company’s values of professionalism, reliability, and technical excellence.
  
  
  

What to Expect During Training:

• You’ll participate in two weeks of paid training in Saint Louis, MO, before the Chicago area launch.
• Training will cover our systems, tools, processes, and client interactions to ensure you’re ready to deliver expert-level service.
  
  
  

During the first two weeks of operations in Chicago, you’ll work alongside a technician from our St. Louis team for additional support and onboarding.

• Hotel accommodations will be provided during training unless you prefer to stay with family or bring your family along (we’re flexible and happy to support your needs, *some restrictions apply).
  
  
  

What We’re Looking For:

• ASE Certified (A1–A8) – this is a must.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clear driving record.
• Strong experience in vehicle diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with factory programming software (experience with one or more manufacturers preferred).
• Quick learner willing to dive into ADAS calibrations and other advanced systems (training provided).
• A **self-motivated, independent worker** who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
