The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will develop and deliver key insights and information to support the organization and ultimately our members. In this role, they will serve as a key bridge between data, technology, and people, delivering actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate is a relationship-building expert who thrives on collaborating with stakeholders at all levels, including but not limited to executives, business leadership, and other individual contributors. They develop comprehensive routine and ad-hoc reports and implement new or improved reporting and analytics processes to support strategic goals. The Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst fulfills complex requests, works effectively with ambiguity, manages deadlines, and maintains timeliness and quality of delivery. Essential Functions
- Act as a stakeholder engagement specialist and trusted advisor enabling teams to make informed decisions through clear communication of analytical insights.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with executives, team leaders, and team members to ensure alignment on data-driven initiatives.
- Leads Business Intelligence projects, providing guidance and mentorship to less experienced analysts to ensure the team’s success.
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that tell a story with data and provide actionable insights into business unit trends
- Utilize Microsoft SQL Server to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Lead efforts to improve data accessibility and self-service analytics across the organization.
- Collaborate with database and data engineering teams to ensure data integrity
- Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing report procedures and develops strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
- Documents process flows and ensures they are monitored for accuracy and quality.
- Provides end-user training on existing tools
- Generates suggestions for improving work efficiency and promoting quality; demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
- Serves as a liaison between Analytics and Business leaders.
- Self-manage project and timelines

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, Data Analysts, or related field experience in lieu of degree
- 5+ Years of experience in data analysis, data reporting, and/or reporting design and implementation experience
- Expert in the use of BI tools and report building (PowerBI, Tableau, or a similar tool)
- Proficient in working with data to solve tangible business problems using tools like SQL, data visualization software, and statistical analysis
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products; including Excel and Power Point
- Skilled at presenting complex information to diverse audiences preferred
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Leadership and/or management experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of State Pension systems a plus
