Job Description
Purpose:
This position is a member of the College of Engineering's marketing and communications team in College Station. The position, under general supervision, is responsible for developing content for social media, web, print, news and feature writing; coordinating the production of print materials; helping to promote College of Engineering events and coordinates electronic communications to support the goals of the College of Engineering.
Responsibilities:
Engineering Communications develops and implements communications and marketing plans focusing on key priorities of the engineering program as defined by the engineering leadership team. It also serves as a communications resource for many stakeholders and, as time allows, accommodates requests for assistance. An award-winning team of communications, marketing, graphic design, web, and public relations professionals, focuses on strengthening the brand and image of the Texas A&M University College of Engineering, Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station, Texas A&M Engineering Program, Texas A&M University and The Texas A&M University System.

Job Description
Purpose:

Responsibilities:
- Generates content for news and feature stories, web, marketing collateral , social media and emails for engineering programs.
- Carries out communications projects and tasks.
- Promotes special events and programs. Generates ideas for communications strategies.
- Coordinates the production of print material and electronic communications to support the goals of engineering programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- No experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism or related area.
- Experience in feature or editorial writing, content creation, or marketing & communications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Has initiative, a commitment to lifelong learning, and a willingness to ask questions.
- Has the ability to bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm to the team.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
