
Summary
Bright Giggles Learning Center is seeking an experienced, full-time, year-round, Child Care Site Director. In this role, you will supervise a wonderful team of teachers and assistants to ensure the delivery of high-quality early childhood care and education for children in our infant through Pre-K programs. The individual in this role will serve as a classroom role model and must always be prepared for direct work with children. Bright Giggles Learning Center is a wonderful place for children and also a great place to work. As a Director you will have to create a learning community for the children we serve that promotes optimal child development and partnership with families. Supervise the onsite team, holding monthly team meetings, and oversee the staffing schedule to ensure reliable in-ratio coverage in all classrooms at all times. Conduct annual performance reviews and maintain a program for the team's professional development that affirms the center?s values and promotes a shared vision, Establish corrective action plans when necessary.
Duties
? Create a learning community for the children we serve that promotes optimal child development and partnership with families
? Supervise the onsite team, holding monthly team meetings, and oversee the staffing schedule to ensure reliable in-ratio coverage in all classrooms at all times
? Conduct annual performance reviews and maintain a program for the team's professional development that affirms the center?s values and promotes a shared vision; establish corrective action plans when necessary
? Maintain compliance with accreditation and state licensing requirements as well as all applicable state and federal laws, and preschool policies and procedures
? Uphold the center?s standards of conduct and set the example by consistently modeling professionalism, patience, and empathy when interacting with the team, children, parents, and members of the community
? Partner with other team members to manage recruitment, selection, and training of personnel
Requirements
? Bachelor?s degree or a minimum of 12 credit-bearing hours of specialized college-level course work in early childhood education or child development is required.
? Knowledge of state education standards,OEC licensing requirements and procedures, fire, health, and OEC regulations
? 1 ? 3 years of experience as a classroom teacher
? Minimum of 1 years of supervisory experience
? Flexibility in your working schedule and willingness to work more than 8 hours a day when required
? Excellent verbal and written communications skills
? Ability to organize work and meet deadlines
? Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with integrity
? Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and work effectively and cooperatively with children, families, and other members of the team
? Ability to lead with empathy and form strong relationships with children, families, and team members
? Comfortable with technology and desire for professional growth
? Able to lift 30 lbs
