TELLER TRAINING SPECIALIST

Promote, market, and facilitate the overall sale of products of the bank. Contribute to the bank's growth by the effective sale of bank products and services to new and existing customers with emphasis on courteous and professional service.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP AND SCOPE
This position reports to EVP Chief Sales and Service Officer.
This position reports indirectly to the Chief Operations/Risk Officer.
Direct Reports include Head Tellers.
Indirect Reports include all Lead Tellers, all other Branch Tellers.

FLSA STATUS
This position is classified as Exempt under the FLSA.

OVERVIEW:
  • The Teller Training Specialist is responsible for overseeing the training development of all tellers. This role ensures all tellers are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and tools to provide customer service, maintain operational accuracy, and comply with regulatory and internal standards. The specialist works closely with training coordinator, upper management, compliance, project and operation teams to continuously improve training content and delivery for tellers.
  • Responsible for training and development of all Teller function at all branches.
  • Establish training program for new hires and existing staff.
  • Train the staff to ensure consistency with policy and procedures.
  • Coach and train to the established bank policies and procedures for this position, as directed by the manager.
  • Identifying opportunities to promote and refer bank products and services
  • Provide supervision, counseling, evaluations, promotions/demotions, and terminations.
  • Facilitate one-on-one coaching to provide feedback to management

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide support and resources for Head and Lead Tellers.
  • Update the Teller Manual to make sure policy and procedures are current
  • Create new and/or update "How to" guides.
  • Assist with teller cash outages/TCR error messages and ITM/ATM researches
  • Monitor the completion of all CTRs by Head Tellers.
  • Perform branch visits to inspect proper procedures are being followed. Assist with any questions from Head Tellers.
  • Monitor / order money from Federal Reserve for Brinks supply for all the branches.
  • Work with accounting dept. to ensure the correct amounts are ordered on a weekly basis.
  • Review Quarterly Audits from each branch.
  • Assist branches for upcoming audit by reviewing the auditor checklist packet prior to submitting to the audit coordinator.
  • System Updates
  • Review Core/Horizon updates
  • Summarize and communicate to the staff on a timely manner
  • Follow up with any issues
  • Test all new hires to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training.
  • Conduct head teller meetings when needed
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Attend all meetings and complete all training required to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Comply with all applicable Federal and State regulations and guidance associated with the performance of your job function.
  • Comply with all applicable BSA/AML/OFAC policies and procedures associated with the performance of your job function, including participation in required training and identifications of suspicious activity.
  • Responsible for making suggestions to improve branch/departmental operations and overall bank.
  • Perform other duties and assignments within the bank Management's request; accept periodic cross-training, and work in other branches if needed.
