Job Description
The Opportunity
The Office of the President at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Daytona Beach Campus is currently recruiting for an experienced Executive Specialist to provide diverse and complex support within the office. Reporting to the Senior Executive Assistant to the President, the Executive Specialist must exercise sound judgement, discretion, initiative, and possess the ability to work with others. The Executive Specialist sets a calm and professional tone, and handles confidential information with discretion. This individual must have keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills
This role includes management of special projects in collaboration with the Senior Executive Assistant to the President on behalf of the President. Collaboration with the Administrative Specialist on campus meetings and events to achieve consistent results to meet the expectations of the President is essential. Working closely with the Director of Board Operations to support the Board of Trustee Meetings and Retreat will be requested as needed. This may include creative thinking and research, meeting logistics support, provide back-up coverage for the Senior Executive Assistant and Administrative Specialist. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: creating itineraries for VIP tours, assisting with reoccurring domestic travel, and travel reconciliation

- High School diploma or equivalent
- Five to ten years of previous executive level support
- Superior communication skills
- Ability to assimilate information rapidly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
- Must be able to interact positively and professionally with university administration, faculty, staff, students, public and officials
- Must be self-motivated to complete projects of a highly-skilled nature related to the functions, operations, and activities of the Office of the President.
