  • Responsible for managing the administrative tasks associated with the management of a district office
  • Processes new employee applications
  • Assists the district supervisor with training employees in the completion of various documents such as travel vouchers, weekly reports, declarations of service, and management information system (MIS) work task reporting
  • Establishes and maintains follow-up procedures for obtaining monthly reports and other information from field employees
  • Opens and reviews all mail to determine proper distribution
  • Provides current information for cooperative billing cycles to the state office. Maintains pesticide use reports
  • Keeps track of the accountable equipment inventory in use within the district. Serves as the office receptionist
  • Responsible for issuing wildlife damage management equipment to persons requesting assistance
  • Maintains a working relationship with cooperators to include county judges, county commissioners, trapping clubs and associations as well as the general public
  • Maintains current information in reference to billing and provides data to the Secretary/Treasurer of the Wildlife Damage Management Fund
  • Provides the District Supervisor with needed information received from cooperators to facilitate the best damage management techniques
  • Responsible for providing timely and accurate time and attendance information for state, and cooperative personnel. With delegation from the district supervisor, takes action on employee requests for leave. Submits time and attendance information for federal employees to the State Office
  • Reviews training requirements to ensure that district employees complete mandated training within established deadlines
  • Dispatches outgoing mail including parcel post, certified, overnight, and registered material
  • Assists the district supervisor in maintaining an inventory of drugs and sensitive products for use in wildlife damage activities
  • Other duties as may be directed
Qualifications Required Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three years of related experience
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
