We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our Houston-based team. This individual will be a key player in ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods from our factories to customer distribution centers across North and South America.

Position Overview

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating shipments, working closely with internal departments, third-party logistics partners, and customers. Your ability to manage multiple moving parts, prioritize fast-paced shipments, and identify cost-saving opportunities will be critical to success in this role. This is a hybrid position based from Houston, Texas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate stock movement from factory to customer distribution points, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate daily with internal Sales and Purchasing departments to align logistics with business needs.
  • Communicate with customers to arrange shipments and facilitate customs clearance.
  • Manage relationships with multiple logistics partners and coordinators to streamline the end-to-end process.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of import/export regulations across North and South America.
  • Ensure compliance with international customs clearance, tariffs, and documentation requirements.
  • Handle urgent and time-sensitive shipments with precision and efficiency.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving strategies within the logistics and shipping process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in logistics coordination, preferably with international shipping exposure.
  • Strong understanding of freight forwarding, customs processes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams and time zones.
  • Proven track record in managing complex logistics operations and achieving cost optimization.
  • Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a strong plus but not required.
